Talking with the Wheel: AI and Safety

You are talking with an AI, not a human

The Living Wheel is an artificial intelligence system. It is software. There is no person reading your words on the other side, and no human is present in the conversation. It responds to the structure and meaning of what you write, holds no opinion about you, and cannot know you the way a person can.

If at any point you were unsure whether you were speaking with a real person, this is the plain answer: you are not. The Wheel is a machine built to reflect, not a companion who feels.

What the Wheel is not

The Wheel does not provide medical, psychological, or crisis counseling. It is not a therapist, not a doctor, and not an emergency service. It offers reflection built from cited wisdom and careful engineering. It cannot assess, diagnose, or treat any condition, and it will never pretend otherwise.

If you are in crisis

If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, please reach a real person now. Free, confidential help is available around the clock.

In the United States:

  • Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), 24 hours a day.
  • Text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line.
  • If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Outside the United States, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country. The site findahelpline.com lists free crisis lines worldwide.

How the Wheel responds to crisis

The Wheel runs a safety check on every message before anything else happens. When your words suggest you may be in crisis, the system does three things:

The Wheel cannot replace a crisis counselor or an emergency responder. Its job in that moment is to step back, point you toward real help, and make sure a human on our side knows.

How to reach us

If you have a question or concern about how the Wheel works, how it handles safety, or how your data is held, you can write to us at mail@empireoflight.love. A person will read it.
